One of the most common questions I get asked is “what should we wear?” This isn’t always a simple answer and really depends on what type of session it is, so I’ll start with a focus on my studio sessions.

My studio compliments simple, minimalistic and organic portraiture. I believe that with the absence of loudness, your child’s personality and emotion can be seen and heard instead. For this reason, I recommend keeping your child’s clothing items simple with a neutral colour palette such as whites and creams. White onesies for example work perfectly. If you browse through my gallery of sitter sessions, you will notice simple items, calming tones, beautiful light, but most of all personalities and emotion.

The same can be said for personality portraits. Keeping clothing simple and neutral allows for your child’s personality to shine through. A plain white t-shirt or tank top with a pair of jeans for example is a great option. You can browse the gallery of personality portraits to see some examples.
